“Anger With-in”

 

Buried deeply behind the facade

of macho unconcern,

there lurks a dragon of

fiery breath and dangerous soul

entrapped in a barbed-wire enclosure.

 

And in this world of lost loves,

that once softened his heart,

the dragon grows stone-cold

while he awaits his freedom

from this cave of nightmares.

 

Deep in his wrathful gut, there churns

an anger that waits to overflow.

 

The day will come!
