The nature of man

complex and dual

a coat of goodness

underneath so cruel.

 

Rarely are you seen

except in good light

when below the surface

what an ugly sight.

 

Residing within

there is no doubt

what your nature inside

is all about.

 

If only we could change

our outer skin

and let out that beast

which dwells within.

 

A peace would shroud us

revealing and true

and once more your nature

would then be you.
