“Find Ourselves Once More”
In long ago words of spiritual lore,
where much violence stirs within.
A narrative of blood and war,
where does so much darkness begin.
The Bible tells a tale so profound,
of humanity's deepest urge,
of reflections of the human plight,
a mirror to our darkness and scourge.
The scriptures, which are so old and grand,
unfolding within each turn of the page.
Illuminating and exposing our deepest fears,
as it echoes spotlighting our hate and rage.
Emotions run like rivers so swift and wide,
through turbulent valleys dark and deep.
A tumultuous and spiritual potent tide,
where sin-thoughts shadows as we sleep.
Themes entwined with words of dire warning,
of faith and the folly of doubt's embrace.
In every fiery stroke of the disciple’s pen,
showing us the way to salvation and grace.
Words, like sharp thorns, with every line of verse,
in the hearts of the human chest as it beats.
Let's ponder on this and delve into its core,
for in the violence of old time,
we find ourselves once more.
