I Was Truly Amazed

“I Was Truly Amazed”

Although she has passed, I still see her gaze,

why she chose to love a guy like me,

leaves me smiling… but amazed.

My heart was full of youthful zest,

I went full-on for happiness,

and gave it my very best.

I embraced life’s every mile in a light-hearted way,

and found the good life was getting better each day.

Her kiss was forever and our love was all mine,

although she has passed I still see her gaze,

a love that time cannot kill,

I was truly amazed…
